What a blessing Ava Truckey is! Her writing calls out the joy and pain of food, family, and being human. Her biscuit recipe is a gift from the angels and taking a class to up my biscuit game was a treat. She prepared us ahead of time, was easy to follow, I had fun, and I learned so much! Thank you, Ava!
If you haven’t gotten in on Ava’s biscuit class – get to it!!! Today’s class was so fun. Ava is amazing. The technique will blow your mind. (Precise, but not difficult — you’ll never make biscuits any other way after this.) My biscuits are in the freezer and I can’t wait to bake and enjoy them tomorrow.
I had the pleasure of taking the biscuit class with Ava. What a terrific way to learn how to make these delicious biscuits. Key to these little bundles of flavor is the technique. Ava is patient, communicates well, and, happily answers questions. While mine didn’t all turn out as beautiful as hers, they were absolutely delicious. If you like biscuits and want to treat yourself to a terrific biscuit, I recommend that you take this class!!
They are the best biscuits I’ve ever had! My stepson, who doesn’t like biscuits (I mean how do you not like biscuits?!), raved about them when I made them.
It only took one look at a photo of a scone oozing cheese to make me start salivating!!! When Ava offered the class I did not hesitate to sign up. The recipe produced 8 beautiful scones. I still have 3 in the freezer. The demonstration was great and it was terrific to be able to prepare the dough along with Ava. Any issues that the students might have could be addressed right then and there.
